The Midwestern Governors Association (MGA) and the Organization of MISO States (OMS) hosted the 16^th Annual Transmission Summit on July 8-9, 2026 in Bismarck, North Dakota. This event will focus primarily on interregional transmission issues from a variety of perspective and lenses. There was also a tour that included stops at the Bison Wind project and the Minnesota Power Square Butte Substation, discussion on the modernization of the HVDC transmission line.
