Jesse Heier
Jesse manages the activities of the MGA Staff Advisory Committee. He holds an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree in communications, legal institutions, economics and government from American University and a master’s of health science degree from the Johns Hopkins University. Before joining the MGA, he worked in the Maryland governor’s office where he advanced the administration’s agenda on natural resources, energy, and smart growth issues. Previously, he worked in the Office of Management Services at the National Governors Association.

Jeff Ewart
Jeff is the Deputy Director of the Midwestern Governors Association (MGA), bringing more than 16 years of experience working with policymakers across the Midwest. Since joining MGA full time in 2009, he has been instrumental in advancing the association’s priorities, including each Chair’s Agenda, the Annual Transmission Summit, and the MID-GRID 2035 Initiative. Jeff’s career with MGA began as an intern while participating in a Washington, D.C., semester program through The Washington Center during college. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Politics from Juniata College.
